Congratulations to the Whitpain Tournament Baseball teams

Whitpain 8 year olds wrapped up the season by winning the Drexel Hill machine pitch tournament. We beat BYC 15-4 in the semis last night and then turned around and beat Aston Valley 5-4 in the Championships game. We were tied 4-4 going into the 6th. Matt Koller scored in the top of the 6th on a hit by Brendan Rafferty. In the bottom of the 6th, Jack Elliott threw the tying run out at the plate on a great tag by Sean McCallum for the last out of the game. Exciting stuff.   It looks like we have some serious Baseball Players coming up, Great Job Boys!

Whitpain 12 Year Old
Tournament Team won the 2008 Roxborough 12 Year Old Tournament.  They had to beat Roxborough 2 times to win the Championship and did exactly that. I have conflicting reports on the exact scores 11-4 and 10-4 but from what I understand they knocked out 3 or 4 home runs including a Grand Slam by Chris Esposito, a 3 run homer by Chris Carradorini and a solo shot by Matt Oruch.(Excuse any incorrect spelling on names as I’m copying from the reports I received from excited Coaches). Winning a Tournament is hard enough by itself but doing it to Roxborough in Roxborough TWICE is an awesome feat that the Players and Coaches will not soon forget.

Congratulations Boys!!!
