For softball ages 6-8, WRA partners with our nearest Rec program neighbors to offer an introductory 8u Division. Our 8u Division focuses on teaching the youngest of players the fundamentals of softball.
Coaches pitch to girls, no scores are kept, the rules are more relaxed, and all games occur within a 4-mile radius of Blue Bell. Players and parents should expect two scheduled activities per week (Monday through Saturday); games or practices.
Softball ages 9-10 graduate to our more competitive 10u Division, where WRA teams compete inside the Inter-Community Girls Softball League of Montgomery County, PA.
10u operates under a modified version of the American Softball Association Rules and features kid pitching, limited base stealing, professional home plate umpires, W-L records, an All Star Game, and an end-of-season tournament! Players and parents should expect at least 3 scheduled activities per week including practices, home games, and away games in neighboring communities.
For softball ages 11-12, our 12U Majors Division competes within the Inter-Community Girls Softball League of Montgomery County, PA and plays under official ASA rules, including full base stealing and an infield fly rule.
